LB3 - Laboratory of Bioanalysis, Biomaterials & Biotechnology

Environmental pollution, climate change & the global food crisis. These are the biggest generational challenges of our time. At the LB3, we believe that assuming nothing happens is not good enough. Our main goal is to work towards finding environmental-fit solutions to these issues, so that our sociological level is not a thousand steps behind our scientific technological capabilities. Our weapon of choice? Microalgae. We use these magical photosynthetic microorganisms to solve environmental pollution, decarbonize the environment and solve the food paradigm. Curious how?
